Martyrs, Spring Fling, Blackstone Country Club, Aurora, CO, 2014-04-12

We approached this show with some trepidation. We were without Marley Forman, bass player extraordinaire. Also, we literally had not practiced collectively, as Martyrs, all year.

What do we know? We had cool digs, a subdued crowd, and a surprisingly good set. Must be muscle memory.

Please send us any band pix you may have taken. We'll be posting audio and video (Terry recorded the entire show and filmed half of it).

Setlist:
Harlem River Blues (Justin Townes Earle)
You Ain't Goin' Nowhere (Bob Dylan / The Band)

Martyrs, Spring Fling, Legacy Academy, Elizabeth CO, 04.28.12

A weird night.  We knew Bob would be in Las Vegas, but didn't anticipate Mollie being sick.  It was our first all-Dave-and-Paul-on-vocals show.  Thankfully, the organizers only needed two 45 minute sets, which worked out perfectly.

The crowd was appreciative and the school made lots of dough from their chili and pie cook/bake offs and silent auction.  All things considered, it was a gas.

Pre-show

We'll post some audio later (the entire show was taped by Marley).  Also, please send any images you may taken of the band.  Thanks.

Martyrs, Parent's Night Out Fiesta and Auction, Colorado Horse Park Ballroom, Parker CO, 04.13.12

Our first show of the year was well received by attendees at the Franktown Elementary School PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year. Many thanks to organizer/host Patti Kyne for including Martyrs in their event.

Most of the Martyrs: Ladd May, Marley Forman, Mollie Martin, Paul Ermisch (seated); Bob Utberg

We have no glamour pix of the entire band (please forward your images) and forgot to bring business cards, but we sounded killer due largely to new members Rex Smith (keyboards) and Marley Forman (bass).

Cruisin' Cats, Colfax Avenue Cruise and Poker Run, 9.24.11

Michael Cone, guitar virtuoso for Cruisin' Cats, Cruisin' Oldies 950 AM's "house band," asked Dave to fill in on drums for their gig at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The band provided music for the participants and spectators at the 2011 Colfax Avenue Cruise and Poker Run.

"The band's been playing in Denver for nearly 20 years, is über tight, almost telepathic," said Dave. "They were way beyond my pay scale, but wonderfully patient and kind. It was a once in a lifetime gig for me."

Setlist (random):

"No matter how beautiful, never use a drunk chick as a photographer" - Unknown
Michael Cone (guitar), Cary (guitar, keyboards), Randy Jay (guitar), Josh Filley (bass), Dave Tallent (drums)
